With fish welfare in mind

Since 1914, FLS has been developing marine products for people whose lives depend on the sea. When the aquaculture industry took shape 30 years ago, we were there. Since then, we have contributed with innovation that has provided great value for the industry. Kristian Lillerud is one of the founders of Flatsetsund Engineering's transition from a shipyard to a development company, focusing on aquaculture innovation. He is an engineer at heart and cares about the welfare of the fish we raise and process. He has worked to develop a new standard for the gentle and sustainable handling and processing of fish. Flatsetsund Engineering's R&D initiative has led to several cutting-edge products, which have helped to lift fish welfare to a new industry level.

Flatsetsundet at Frei is close to the sea. It is safe to say that we work close to where things really happen. We have a competent and committed team of approximately 25 people working together to deliver quality products at a high national and international level. At FLS, we are proud of our products. They are the result of wise and creative minds, but equally important it is that they are developed in collaboration with the users themselves.
